Nasi Lemak with Sambal and Ayam Goreng Berempah

Nasi Lemak is always our favourite food, especially the sambal and ayam goreng berempah. I have tried different version of sambal and ayam goreng and this is the best sambal and ayam goreng berempah. it tasted just like the malay restaurant style. Worth trying and I will definitely cook again but need lots of patience to slow cook the sambal.
Sambal : Blend garlic, onion, ginger, dried chillies, ikan bilis to paste and cook in slow flame until the paste turned into dark colour and thickening. If the colour is still red and watery, the sambal is not ready.
Ayam Goreng Berempah : Blend onion, garlic, ginger, serai (lemon grass) into paste, add to chicken with some curry powder, salt, kunyit powder. Marinate for 2 hours or overnight.

糯米鸡 Steam Glutinuos Rice ( Lo Mai Kai)

糯米鸡是我老公和儿子的必点之点心之一,在点心茶楼现在已卖到RM 4.80 一个,当然在普通的点心店也可买到RM 2.80 一个。。。但我还是觉的自己做比较划算吧 。。。

This is my husband and my son's favourite savoury dim sum and they will always ordered this when we dined at the dim sum restaurant, it cost about RM 4.80 and much smaller and of course you can still get cheaper about RM 2.80 at the normal dim sum stall. Anyway, I think learning to make this at my own is much cheaper and cleaner.

This is my son's favourite food but my hubby doesn't like it....

  • 买回来的鸡脚一定要用热水冲洗过。
  • 爆香蒜粒,炒香冬菇和鸡脚,加水,黑酱油,酱油焖至软。
  • 再加点蚝油,糖调味,收干一点汁就可。

Durian Ice Cream 榴櫣雪糕

家里有吃不完的榴櫣,本想要试做榴櫣挞,但又懒懒地。。看到Sonia 家的榴櫣雪糕很简单,所以就试试。。

**this version of ice cream is very simple to prepare, and is eggless !! this is important...

Durian Ice-cream

Durian flesh 350g
Sugar 4tbsp ** adjust accordingly !!
Fresh Milk 100ml
Fresh whipped cream 70g

1. Blend durian flesh, sugar and milk in a blender till smooth.

2. Add in fresh whipped cream and mix well.

3. Pour into a container and freeze overnight or until set.
